MILK-BONE SEEKING FACE OF 100TH ANNIVERSARY SPOKESDOG

Does your dog have what it takes to be the face of Milk-Bone dog biscuits? In celebration of the brand's 100th anniversary this year, Del Monte Pet Products is undergoing a search for the perfect canine face to represent its chewable treats.

Pet owners have until Sept. 18 to enter their furry family members in the Make a Milk-Bone Moment contest. The top 100 Milk-Bone Moments entries will be posted on www.Milk-Bone.com, and America will decide the victor. The grand-prize winner will receive a $100,000 contract to serve as the first Milk-Bone 100th Anniversary SpokesDog, plus its owner will receive a digital camera to record the year's activities. Ninety-nine runners-up also will receive a digital camera.

"For the last 100 years, Milk-Bone has been the gold standard for dog snacks," said Matthew Park, vice president of marketing for Del Monte Foods. "At Milk-Bone, we understand the special and unique bond between a dog and his or her pet parents. We are launching the Make a Milk-Bone Moment contest as a way to celebrate 100 years of special, silly, heart-warming and magical moments with our four-legged friends ... and we look forward to celebrating many more wonderful moments for years to come."

SCOUT

I am proof that a wild boy can develop a soft heart. I am a recovered feral (undomesticated) cat who used to scavenge out of trash bins for survival. But now I am a peaceful boy trying patiently to wait for a forever home where I will always know love, safely indoors all of the time. My name is Scout and I am a handsome neutered male, red tabby, 3 years young. Please adopt me today in the free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms at Nevada SPCA.

The Nevada SPCA is a no-kill animal sanctuary located at 4800 W. Dewey Drive in Las Vegas. For more information on animals featured here, visit www.nevadaspca.org, or call 873-7722.
