Meet neurosurgeon Aury Nagy

Henderson native Dr. Aury Nagy spent 14 years attending colleges and universities around the country to become a neurosurgeon. After finishing his neurosurgical training at George Washington University in 2003, he returned to his hometown.
In 1998, Nagy was voted among the best teaching interns at the Medical College of Virginia. Five years later, he was awarded the Congress of Neurological Surgeons Cushing Clinical Fellow and named the Peripheral Nerve Fellow at Louisiana State University.
The 38-year-old, who has two offices in the valley, one with Las Vegas Neurosurgery and Spine Care, 10001 S. Eastern Ave., Suite 408, and another at St. Rose Dominican Hospitals San Martin campus, 8280 W. Warm Springs Road, has privileges at all the hospitals in the valley.

What was your first car? The first car I bought was a 1971 Nissan Stanza.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? I thought I might be a doctor or teacher.
