The Las Vegas Metro Stars Fall Scout Baseball Club will be conducting tryouts for its 16U, 18U and Super Stars (ages 18-24) Teams on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Chaparral High School, 3850 Annie Oakley Drive. FIRST MIR MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT PLANNED
The Epicurean Charitable Foundation Las Vegas will present the first Adiyl Mir Memorial Golf tournament on Saturday at Rio Secco Golf Club, 2851 Grand Hills Drive in Henderson. The event will raise money for the Mir Scholarship Foundation, established in the name of 17-year-old Adiyl Mir, who lost his life in a car accident in January.

SKATEPARK COMPETITION SET AT SKATECITY
The 2008 Red Bull Vegas Am Jam Skatepark Competition Series Round 8 will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Aug. 23 at Skatecity Indoor Skatepark, 4915 Steptoe Road, Suite 600, near Tropicana Avenue and Boulder Highway.
