MUSICAL ARTS CHORUS SEEKS SINGERS FOR UPCOMING SEASON

The Southern Nevada Musical Arts Society invites singers from all over the valley to perform with the 65-voice Musical Arts Chorus in its upcoming 46th season.

There are openings in all voice parts. The new season will highlight music by Beethoven, Brahms and Faure and will include two choral concerts with a professional orchestra at UNLV's Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall. Rehearsals begin Aug. 24.

Membership is by audition. Interested singers can call music director Dr. Douglas R. Peterson at 451-6672.

WINE WALK RETURNS TO THE DISTRICT ON SATURDAY

The Wine Walk will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturday on Main Street at The District at Green Valley Ranch, 2225 Village Walk Drive. Each Wine Walk event features up to 20 tasting stations, plus live music and raffle prizes. Proceeds benefit New Vista Community, a local charity that helps the intellectually challenged. Must be 21 to attend. Cost is $30 per person or two for $50. Tickets are available at www.newvista community.org or at the event.

CLINT HOLMES TO PERFORM BROADWAY TUNES AT UNLV

The Nevada Conservatory Theatre at UNLV will present "Clint Holmes Sings Broadway" at 8 p.m. Thursday through Sunday at UNLV's Judy Bayley Theatre, 4505 S. Maryland Parkway.

Tickets are priced at $25, $30 and $35, discounted to $22.50, $27 and $31.50 for seniors, students, UNLV faculty and staff, military personnel and people with disabilities.

LIBERACE FOUNDATION BENEFIT CONCERT SET FOR SUNDAY

Michael James Scott will perform a one-man show, "... In Progress" at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the Liberace Museum, 1775 E. Tropicana Ave. Donations will be accepted to benefit the Liberace Foundation for the Performing and Creative Arts.
