The Las Vegas Metro Stars Fall Scout Baseball Club will be conducting tryouts for its 16U, 18U and Super Stars (ages 18-24) teams on from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Chaparral High School, 3850 Annie Oakley Drive.
The Metro Stars are slated to play in tournaments scouted by major league scouts and college coaches, as well as individual games against college baseball programs.

P.S. VEGAS FLYERS BRING HOME NINE MEDALS
The P.S. Vegas Flyers youth track and field club recently traveled to Omaha, Neb., to compete in the National Junior Olympics, and the eight local athletes returned with nine medals.
Ashlie Blake won two gold and one silver, and Jerod Cody won the youth boys' discus. Other Flyers competitors were Paige Asserope, Savannah Lawrence, Hope Gillespie, Nick Hartle, Gabriel Garcia and Avione Allgood.
RETRO RACQUET CLASSIC SET AT DARLING TENNIS CENTER
The Retro Racquet Classic tennis tournament will be held Thursday though Sunday at the Amanda & Stacy Darling Memorial Tennis Center, 7901 W. Washington Ave.

DOOLITTLE MEN'S BASKETBALL LEAGUES STARTING UP
