"Coincidentally, the two 11-year-old Siberian huskies (that were featured in the July 29 View) were adopted together right before the View went to print," wrote Doug Duke, executive director of the Nevada Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. "This was a very pleasant surprise because adopting a pair of that age is off-the-charts difficult."

BRUTUS
Adopt me for a lifetime of smiles and laughter as I entertain you with my goofy antics and silly facial expressions. My name is Brutus, and I am a handsome, large boxer, neutered male, approximately 5 to 6 years old. My dad was deployed to Iraq many months ago and so I needed rescue. Despite my fun nature, I scared away adopters with my wild side. But thanks to a volunteer who escorted me through graduation from a basic dog training class at Nevada SPCA, I am now better behaved and eager to please. Please come meet me so I can show you what a wonderful boy I am now!
The Nevada SPCA is a no-kill animal sanctuary located at 4800 W. Dewey Drive in Las Vegas. For more information on animals featured here, visit www.nevadaspca.org, or call 873-7722.
