GOLF TOURNEY TO BENEFIT UNLV COLLEGE OF EDUCATION

UNLV's College of Education will host its first-ever golf tournament fundraiser to support its Troops to Teachers, Spouses to Teachers and Family Members of Severely Wounded Soldiers programs at 8 a.m. on Friday at TPC Las Vegas, 9851 Canyon Run Drive.

Sponsorship registration and donations still are available. The entry fee is $150 or $600 for a foursome.

KICKBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS COMING TO VEGAS

The World Adult Kickball Association's Founders Cup World Kickball Championship will be held on Saturday and Sunday in Las Vegas at locations yet to be determined. The 11th annual event will feature teams from all over the country competing in pool play rounds feeding into a single elimination tournament bracket.

HENDERSON REGISTERING ADULT FLAG FOOTBALL TEAMS

The city of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department is accepting registrations for its fall adult flag football league at the Arroyo Grande Sports Complex, 298 Arroyo Grande Blvd., from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays, and from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.

Registration is $250 per team, not including official's fees and jerseys. The seven-game season opens Sept. 14. For more information, call 267-5700.

National Youth Sports is registering local athletes for various sports leagues, including soccer, basketball, flag football, tackle football, baseball, softball, T-ball, volleyball and cheerleading, in the Henderson and Green Valley areas.
