The Henderson Symphony Orchestra opens its 22nd anniversary season with Master Series I under the direction of conductor Taras Krysa at 2 p.m. on Sept. 14 at the Henderson Pavilion 200 S. Green Valley Parkway.
One hour before the show, David Green hosts a discussion that will introduce the audience to the history behind the music on the program.

Michele Lundeen brings funky soul to Henderson
Blues, roots and soul singer/songwriter Michele Lundeen will perform at 8 p.m. on Sept. 5 at the Henderson Events Plaza, 200 S. Water St. Admission is free.
Lundeen has been playing several genres of music, including rock 'n' roll, swing, blues and funky soul, for more than 15 years.

STAGE IS SET FOR FETISHISTIC 'ELIZABETHAN' AT ONYX THEATRE
The Onyx Theatre and resident acting troupe Insurgo Theater Movement present a self-described fetishistic explosion of "Elizabethan" at 8 p.m. today.
