TRANSPORTATION WOES: Taxi trouble
Cab company would be equipped to cater to physically handicapped

Getting a cab may soon become easier, especially if you're physically disabled. Rob Martin, Tim Harney and Philip Griffith are looking to launch a new company, called Handicab.

Although it will serve all customers, the venture's fleet will be equipped to accommodate the needs of most physically handicapped individuals.

123-room hotel scheduled for opening next week

It's a safe bet that everything one needs on an extended business trip has been incorporated into the new Element Las Vegas Summerlin Hotel, set to open Dec. 18.

That's the promise that general manager Gavin Pepper makes. He said the hotel's parent company polled guests at associated properties to find out just what a hotel should offer. The result is the new brand from Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, which includes the Sheraton, St. Regis, Le Meridien and Westin Hotels.
