Santa Train on a roll

To say the Nevada State Railroad Museum's Santa Train was a success this year would be an understatement.

The turnout for its run during the first two weekends of December set ticket sales records that amazed even the director of the museum.

Titus tells City Council she'll fight for solar power

Newly elected U.S. Rep. Dina Titus appeared before the Boulder City Council Dec. 9, saying the city has a friend when it comes to renewable energy development but offering little reason for optimism that the Boulder City Bypass would become a reality in the near future.

Her brief appearance, the first visit by the Democrat since she unseated three-term Republican Jon Porter in November to win Nevada's 3rd District House seat, touched on her awareness of Boulder City and went into issues that most residents consider important.
