Al McDaniels, 68, may be officially retired, but that doesn't mean he's stopped teaching or coaching. He can still be found at UNLV, often on the track, working with students.

It also doesn't mean he's forgotten. UNLV recently inducted him into its Hall of Fame. Much of that recognition was for nurturing a fledging program into one that gained national attention.
