ARTISTIC BANNERS TO ADORN DOWNTOWN
The Las Vegas arts scene takes to the skies as Ivan Brunetti presents 50 serialized artworks printed onto banners hanging along Las Vegas Boulevard, from the Las Vegas Arts District to City Hall.
The exhibit will be on display from Feb. 28 through February 2009.
Brunetti will lecture at UNLV at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 27 at the Alta Ham Fine Arts building, Room 257. A project dedication officiated by Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman will take place at 4 p.m. on Feb. 28 at Las Vegas Boulevard and Fremont Street, followed by an artist reception from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Downtown Cocktail Room, 111 Las Vegas Blvd. South.
FAB FOUR MANIA TO PERFORM SPECIAL SHOW
The Fab Four Mania is celebrating the 44th anniversary of The Beatles' first appearance on "The Ed Sullivan Show" with a special performance at 7 p.m. on Saturday at The Sahara.
The concert will raise money for the Nevada Cancer Institute, 10000 W. Charleston Blvd.

GLVAR HOLDS CHARITY DRIVE
The Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors will be collecting supplies to benefit Child Haven, Safe Nest and Shade Tree shelters through Monday.
Some of the most needed items include shampoo, toilet paper, feminine products, baby wipes and diapers. The supplies will benefit homeless and abused women and children.

LEARN ABOUT CHINESE HISTORY AT THE LIBRARY
In celebration of Chinese New Year, there will be a multi-media presentation titled Chinese Women in Nevada History, which will discuss the subject beginning with the first Chinese to arrive in Nevada in 1855. VIDEO GAME TOURNAMENT TO BENEFIT KIDNEY RESEARCH
The Southern Nevada Chapter of the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation will host a Madden NFL '08 Playstation 2 video game tournament from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday at Play N Trade, 9530 S. Eastern Ave, Suite 130.
Participants pay $25 for the open tournament or $50 for the masters' tournament. Fifty percent of the entry fee goes toward the PKD Foundation and the remainder will go toward prizes.
