FAVORITE SONS & DAUGHTERS
Serena Phillips, a senior at The Henderson International School, received all-scholastic recognition for her performance during the volleyball season.
Phillips earned honorable mention status from the league's coaches.
She is the daughter of Mary Ann and David Phillips of Henderson.
Nathan A. Davis, 18, a Las Vegas native, recently completed U.S. Marine basic training at the San Diego Marine Recruit Station.
Upon graduation, he received the rank of private 1st class.
He attended Whitney Elementary School, Cortney Middle School, and was a 2007 graduate of Basic High School.
Davis enlisted in the Marine Corps in April 2007 on a delayed entry program. He completed four years of MCJROTC at Basic High School and participated in the national MCROTC winning drill team.
He is the son of Ginger and Robin Davis of Las Vegas.
