Starbright Theatre, 2215 Thomas Ryan Blvd., will host "A Birthday Tribute to Johnny Cash" at 3 p.m. Sunday.
Jimmie Ray & Ring of Fire's tribute to the life and legend of Johnny Cash and June Carter will transport audiences back in time with dazzling harmonies and a journey across six decades of music and memories.

'THE HAIRY APE' is coming to college of southern nevada
A production of the expressionistic play "The Hairy Ape" will be staged at College of Southern Nevada, 3200 E. Cheyenne Ave., at 7:30 p.m. beginning Feb. 29. Additional shows will be held March 1, 7 and 8 and on March 2 and 9 at 2 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors. For reservations, call 651-5483.
AFRICAN-AMERICAN MUSIC FESTIVAL COMING TO UNLV
UNLV will host the eighth annual African-American Festival at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall, 4505 S. Maryland Parkway.
The event will feature more than 100 performers, the UNLV Choral Ensembles and solo performances by many undergraduate and graduate voice majors.
Admission is $8. Admission for students and seniors is $5. Free admission is offered to UNLV students who present valid student identification. Tickets may be purchased at the UNLV Performing Arts Center box office or by calling 895-2787.
