FREE SELF-DEFENSE CLASS OFFERED AT KARATE STUDIO

A free street self-defense class scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at USA Karate Black Belt Studio, 7830 W. Ann Road, Suite 130, is open to all ages. TICKETS AVAILABLE FOR TENNIS CHANNEL OPEN

PRO VOLLEYBALL PLANNED AT THE ORLEANS ARENA

The Orleans Arena, 4500 W. Tropicana Ave., will be transformed into a sandy beach environment in order to host the final stop of the AVP Hot Winter Nights indoor volleyball tour at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Pro volleyball stars such as Kerri Walsh, Jake Gibb, Elain Youngs and Stein Metzger will be among the competitors. Ticket prices range from $20 to $65. For more information, call 284-7777.

RAINBOW YOUTH SOCCER SIGNUPS SCHEDULED

Rainbow Youth Soccer will hold registration for its recreational coed soccer league for ages 3-15 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Villa Pizza, 3385 S. Durango Drive. YOUTH INVITED TO FREE BASEBALL COMPETITION

Area youth ages 7-14 are invited to enter the free Aquafina Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run competition on March 1 at Doc Romeo Park, 7400 Peak Drive.

Registration for the event, a national program that gives boys and girls a chance to showcase their skills, starts at 9 a.m.

JUNIOR TEAM TENNIS TO START UP IN SPRING

The 2008 spring season of Junior Team Tennis for players ages 18 and younger is conducted by the Nevada Tennis Association, the local branch of the United States Tennis Association.

The purpose of the league is to provide youth the opportunity to play on a team and experience recreational tennis at a minimal cost.

COED ADULT KICKBALL LEAGUE REGISTERS PLAYERS

The World Adult Kickball Association is holding open registration for its coed adult kickball division, LV Lucky in Las Vegas.

The city of Las Vegas Department of Leisure Services will offer spring break camps for youth ages 4-15 at several locations on March 17-21.

Gilmore Ave. (229-5345); Rivera Community Center, 2900 E. Stewart Ave. (229-4600); and Robison Community School, 4794 Harris Ave. (229-2542).
