British artist Paul Morrison was received at a reception at the Las Vegas Art Museum, 9600 W. Sahara Ave., on the evening of Feb. 1. The artist?s Las Vegas debut spotlighted a large wall painting titled "Phytochrome" in the museum?s main gallery. The London-based artist is noted for his black-and-white, graphic-style compositions done in a highly stylized form. Inspiration for his artwork comes from a range of influences, from popular cartoons to botanical drawings to Albrecht Dürer woodcuts. Top, reception attendees view "Phytochrome" during the event.
