I have been hearing a lot about the IRS' rebate checks and I have two questions. First, I wanted to make sure there wasn't an extra form I needed to fill out in order to receive my check. Also, my husband and I have six children, and I was wondering if there is a limit on how many children we could claim for the extra tax credit.

Thank you for answering what may seem like very simple questions.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, everyone who files a 2007 tax return with at least $3,000 in qualifying income will be eligible to receive the 2008 stimulus payments. The IRS wants to be clear that even low-income workers and those who receive only Social Security or veterans' benefits who may not normally file a tax return must do so in order to receive a check.

As for your question about eligible children, Raphael Tulino, a media relations representative for the IRS, said that there is no limit on how many dependent children you can claim. As long as you and your husband file jointly and are under the combined annual adjusted gross income of $150,000, you will receive $300 per child up to age 17, in addition to the $1,200 married tax credit. Payments will begin arriving in May and are expected to continue through July, Tulino said.
