SILVER STATE GIRLS LEAGUE SIGNING UP SOCCER PLAYERS

The Silver State Girls Soccer League is holding spring 2008 registration from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday and Feb. 5, with final registration from 10 a.m. to noon on Feb. 9, at the league office, 5650 W. Charleston Blvd., Suite 13. Games will begin in March and will be played through June.

BOYS AND GIRLS CAN SIGN UP FOR WINTER NBA LEAGUES

The city of Las Vegas Department of Leisure Services invites boys and girls ages 3 to 14 to participate in Saturday Junior NBA and Junior WNBA leagues that begin on Saturday. The cost ranges from $35 to $65, depending on age.

League play will take place at Brinley Community School, 6150 Smoke Ranch Road (229-2642); Charleston Heights Community School, 6438 Celeste Ave. (229-4440); Gibson Community School, 3990 W. Washington Ave. (229-5096); Mirabelli Community Center, 6200 Hargrove Ave. (229-6359); Molasky Community School, 7801 W. GOLD COAST TO HOST MILITARY BOWLING CHAMPIONSHIPS
