SEVENTH ANNUAL JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL TO PLAY AT UNLV

The seventh annual Las Vegas Jewish Film Festival will wrap up on Sunday at the UNLV Student Union Theater. At 1 p.m., "De Bessarabis A Entre Rios," a documentary exploring the rich history and customs of the Jewish community in Bessarabia, will be shown.

Bessarabia currently is under the control of the republics of Moldavia and Rumania. The film documents the immigration of Jewish families to Argentina in the early 1900s and the successful communal settlements they created.

At 4 p.m., there will be a screening of "The Rape of Europa," which is the epic story of the theft, destruction and survival of Europe's greatest art treasures during the Third Reich and World War II.

PERLMAN TO PERFORM AT UNLV, ANNIVERSARY CONCERT PLANNED

Famed violinist Itzhak Perlman will perform on two nights at UNLV's Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall. On Wednesday at 8 p.m., he and pianist Rohan De Silva will perform sonatas by Bach, Strauss and Poulenc, as well as other works to be announced.

On Saturday at 8 p.m., Perlman will conduct the UNLV 50th Anniversary Concert, featuring violinist Rachel Lee and the UNLV Symphony and Alumni Orchestra.

LEARN TO DANCE LIKE A SCOT

The Las Vegas Highland Dance Association will sponsor a Highland dance workshop on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Jewel Box Theater at the Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road.
