YOUR BEST FRIEND TAKE ME HOME

"Recently, I had a photo of my dog Kirby qualify as a finalist in the Firedog photo contest sponsored by Kodak and Circuit City," wrote Katie Aretos of Las Vegas about her 10-year-old Jack Russell terrier. "My dog is one of 20 dogs now in the voting process for the grand prize, and for each vote that Kirby gets on the Firedog Web site, Kodak will donate $1 to a the Nevada SPCA, a no-kill animal shelter. Kodak will give the grand-prize winner?s shelter $50,000 and match $1 for every vote up to $100,000 ? that?s a total of $150,000 possible to our localanimal shelter if Kirby wins! Voting goes through Saturday. Kirby is the only dog from Nevada that has made it to the finalist stage." For more information, or to vote for Kirby, logon to www.firedogkodakcontest.com.

FELIX

My brother Oscar and I need a loving, forever home where we will be safe and family companions. We are young pygmy goats, neutered males, full of personality, athletic and very friendly. We are gentle boys and good with pigs, birds and other animals, but I admit we get a bit obsessive about chasing and playing with them, too. Please adopt both Oscar and me today at Nevada SPCA if you are able and willing to make a lifetime commitment to let us join your family.

The Nevada SPCA is a no-kill animal sanctuary located at 4800 W. Dewey Drive in Las Vegas. For more information on animals featured here, visit www.nevadaspca.org, or call 873-7722.

Mini Me is a 5-year-old, spayed minature pinscher. She is up to date on all her vaccinations and there are no known medical problems. She is very loving and becomes very attached to her caregiver. She needs a home that has plenty of time to pay attention to her and love her. She is a very special dog who needs a special home.

BISCUIT

I'm a golden boy who loves playtime with kids and getting belly rubs. I'm great with other dogs and housetrained, too. My name is Biscuit, and I'm a Labrador retriever mix, neutered male, approximately 2 years young. Please meet and adopt me today at Nevada SPCA. I would be honored to become a special sweetheart for you and your family.
