ARTIST'S EXHIBIT AND RECEPTION SCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY
Structuring the Invisible, a new exhibit by artist Brent Sommerhauser, will be on display Friday through Feb. 15 at the Clark County Government Center Rotunda Gallery, 500 S. Grand Central Parkway.
An artist's reception will be held during First Friday events from 6 to 8 p.m.
Sommerhauser is best known for his use of pencils as a sculptural material to create ocean surfaces.

ART EXHIBIT NOW OPEN AT WINCHESTER CULTURAL CENTER
Withering Heights, an exhibition of new paintings by Las Vegas native Elizabeth Blau, is on display at the Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive, through Feb. 8.
The series features paintings of glacial ice, created as an examination of disappearance.
The gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday.

WORLD VIBRATIONS SERIES TO FEATURE BRAZILIAN MUSIC
The World Vibrations concert series will continue at 2 p.m. Feb. 10 with The Heartbeat of Brazil by Mocidade Relbelde at Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive.
The Heartbeat of Brazil concert will feature the cuica, berimbau, zabumba and other exotic percussion instruments and samba dancers. Admission is $10 for adults and $7 for children and seniors.
