Proposed renovations could result in loss of 350 vendor booth spaces

In late 2007, entrepreneur Greg Danz made the decision to purchase a North Las Vegas relic and add amenities that could make it new again. Little did he know that the price for rejuvenation in this case may cost hundreds of market vendors their businesses.

Danz is the owner of the Broadacres Open Air Marketplace, 2930 Las Vegas Blvd. North, the country's fifth-largest swap meet and a North Las Vegas institution.

It was that nagging notion that sent one local business manager to a June 10 community workshop where the future of the North Las Vegas Downtown Master Plan was to be discussed, and residents and commercial proprietors had an opportunity to voice their opinions and concerns.
