fred couzens/viewEldorado Rock Inc. is expected to soon wrap up work on its removing and replacing three manholes in Buchanan Boulevard, such as this one at Elm Street, which needed work because of corrosion created by excessive hydrogen sulfide gas in the sewer line. The three manholes, which will be totally removed and replaced by three specially coated manholes that will provide protection from the gas, are located at Elm Street on the south, the Vons parking lot driveway on the north, and in the median in the center. The $41,000 project includes installation of a new streetlight on the nearest part of the median to the Vons driveway onto Buchanan Boulevard.
