DESERT YOUTH FOOTBALL HOLDS SIGNUPS FOR FALL

The Desert Youth Football League is holding registration for its fall season of youth tackle football for ages 6 to 13.

Signups are set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday and Aug. 2 at the Jock Shop, 5785 W. Sahara Ave.

YOUTH BASEBALL CLUB LOOKS FOR PLAYERS

The Las Vegas Bulls baseball club, formerly the Grizzlies, is looking for 10 players ages 9 and younger. The team competes year-round. For details, call 445-5331.

RAINBOW YOUTH SOCCER SEEKS PLAYERS

Rainbow Youth Soccer is holding signups for a recreational coed soccer league for ages 3 to 15.

Registration is set for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday and Aug. 2, and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and July 31 at Graziano's Pizza, 8410 W. Desert Inn Road.

All games will be played at Desert Breeze Park, 8275 Spring Mountain Road.

WSNGA SILVER CUP TEAM ANNOUNCED

The Women's Southern Nevada Golf Association's Silver Cup Team recently was announced following a qualifying event at Painted Desert Golf Club, 5555 Painted Mirage Road.

The Silver Cup, a Ryder Cup-style competition matching women golfers from Northern Nevada against those from Southern Nevada, will be played in October at Painted Desert.

Representing Southern Nevada will be Sarah Bowman, Masako Brown, Larren Buckley, Rita Byorick, Ruth Caroll, Doe Emes, Eve Farr, Tammy Gephardt, Kari Higa, Sherry Jackson, Laurie Johnson, Karen Killpack, Brenda Knott, Jessica Kwon, Kay Medrano, Christina Monteiro, Robbin Sanchez, Penny Schilling, Karen Tieken and Janet Weber, with alternate Debbie Love.
