ROOFING DOG: Up on the housetop
Ladder-climbing pup follows in pop's pawsteps

If you have spotted a dog on a rooftop while driving in Las Vegas, chances are you've seen one of James Guindon's roofing dogs.

Guindon is the owner of Roof It Right Inc. and has a Siberian husky named Bullet. Bullet accompanies Guindon and his employees on many of their roofing jobs, and climbs up the ladder to the roof by himself.

Bryce Canyon trail in constant state of change

The hoodoo-haunted trails at Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah, offer some of the West's most memorable hiking experiences. But taking the path to Mossy Cave is a gem of special pleasure wrapped in the overall adventure.

Bryce boasts one of the Earth's most extraordinary landscapes. Its natural amphitheaters, along the eastern rim of the Paunsaugunt Plateau, are filled with tall pillars, pinnacles and spires that suggest an audience of supernatural beings. No wonder pioneers decided to call them "hoodoos," and the name stuck.
