JAZZ IN THE PARK SERIES TO FEATURE NICK COLIONNE

The Jazz in the Park concert series continues its 20th year with Nick Colionne at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Clark County Amphitheater, 500 S. Grand Central Parkway.

Seating for those with picnic baskets, blankets and low-back chairs will begin at 7 p.m. Food vendors also will be available on site. Parking is free.

REGGAE TO BE FEATURED AT AMPHITHEATER

Live reggae by international artists Judy Mowat, Barrington Levy, The Mighty Diamonds and the Wailing Souls will be featured during Las Vegas' seventh annual Reggae in the Desert at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Clark County Government Center Amphitheater, 500 S. Grand Central Parkway.

Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 the day of the show and $28 for a ticket and a T-shirt package. Tickets are available at www.ticketmaster.com or www.reggaeinthedesert. com. For more information, call 455-8200.

RAINBOW COMPANY TO PRESENT CLASSIC CHILDREN'S STORY

The Rainbow Company Youth Theatre will present "The Great Cross-Country Race," a take on the classic story of the tortoise and the hare, at the Charleston Heights Arts Center.

Performances will be at 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for teens and seniors, and $3 for children ages 12 and younger, and may be purchased by phone or at the arts center's box office, 800 S. Brush St. For information, call 229-6383.
