ROMANCE WRITER TO TALK ABOUT TITLES AT ENTERPRISE LIBRARY
The Cactus Rose Romance Writers of America Chapter's June 21 meeting features a presentation by Jennifer Ashley, author of 20 romance, mystery and mainstream novels, published under the names Jennifer Ashley, Allyson James and Ashley Gardner. Ashley plans to talk about the importance of a good title and how to make sure a book premise grabs the editor and doesn't let go.

A panel of gay literary and media experts is scheduled to present Simply Fabulous! Writing Out Loud in Las Vegas, a special Meet the Authors program celebrating Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Month, 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road. 'TALES OF CITY' AUTHOR TO SPEAK
The Clark County Library welcomes bestselling author Armistead Maupin at 7 p.m. on June 19. Maupin's work includes "Tales of the City," which began as a newspaper serial in the San Francisco Chronicle and grew into a six-novel series and a PBS television miniseries. His 2007 book "Michael Tolliver Lives" revisits a popular "Tales of the City" character.

Catch the Reading Bug with the North Las Vegas Library District's annual Summer Reading Club. Although this year's theme emphasizes books on bugs, participating students may choose books from any genre.
The Summer Reading Club is open to readers of all skill levels, from read-to-me to independent readers and teens. The club begins Saturday.
