LETTER TO THE EDITOR

I am absolutely amazed at the number of people who go to Mount Charleston for a day's outing and when they leave, they just throw their trash and garbage on the ground and leave. No matter that a garbage can is sitting 20 feet from them. This type of person will never change regardless of the threats of fines, legal action, or public humiliation. They were raised to think it's OK to just dump your garbage on someone else's property. I recommend that every day-use person who goes to Mount Charleston be charged a fee to be used to pay clean-up crews. If these slobs won't clean up after themselves, then they should be forced to pay for someone else to do so.
