North Las Vegas residents had the opportunity to go crazy with science as the North Las Vegas and Aliante libraries hosted Mad Science of Las Vegas on June 14. Left, 8-year-old Tania Fernandez?s hair goes flying as she learns about a vortex from "Electron John" Miles. Above, learning about the force of air from Miles, Brooke Paige, 4, holds on tight and laughs as tissue paper flies. During the 45-minute interactive program, patrons had the chance to perform activities with floating beach balls, sneezing dinosaurs and hot air balloons, all in the name of science.
