STARBRIGHT THEATRE PRESENTS STARS OF THE PHILHARMONIC

Stephen Caplan, an oboist for the Las Vegas Philharmonic, will play the Starbright Theatre with flutist Alexander Viazovtsev and pianist Barbara Riske as part of the Stars of the Philharmonic Series.

The performance begins at 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the theater, 2215, Thomas Ryan Blvd.

Upcoming performances will feature brass and jazz music.

Tickets are $25 and available at the theater's box office from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. People who want to pay with a credit card should go online to www.sfsentertainment. org.

CLARK COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL BANDS FESTIVAL IS FRIDAY

The Clark County High School Bands Festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall, 4505 S. Maryland Parkway, on the UNLV campus. Bands from across the valley will participate, playing a variety of music. The event is open to the public and admission is free.

FILM SOCIETY TO PRESENT 'SUNSET BOULEVARD'

The Las Vegas Film Society will present the Academy Award-winning film 'Sunset Boulevard" at 7 p.m. tonight at the Regal Cinemas Red Rock Stadium 16 at Red Rock Resort.

A live musical performance begins at 6:30 p.m.

The society's April film, "Citizen Kane," will be shown April 1 at Regal Green Valley 10 at Green Valley Ranch Resort in Henderson.

A one-time guest screening is $10, and other membership packages are available.
