COLLEGE'S PIANO FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS YOUNG ARTISTS

The College of Southern Nevada's Piano Festival 2008 will feature four piano events from March to May, beginning with a festival kicked off by the Nevada Chamber Symphony at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Clark County Library Theater at 1401 E. Flamingo Road.

UNLV OPERA THEATRE TO PERFORM MOZART FOR FINALE

The UNLV Opera Theatre will complete its 2007-08 season with a production of Mozart's masterwork, "Così fan tutte" ("The School for Lovers"), at 7:30 p.m. March 14-15, and at 2 p.m. March 16 at the Judy Bayley Theatre at UNLV.

Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for seniors, military, faculty and staff, and $5 for students. Tickets can be purchased at the box office, or by calling 895-2787.

CLARK COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL BANDS FESTIVAL IS FRIDAY

The Clark County High School Bands Festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall, 4505 S. Maryland Parkway, on the UNLV campus. The event is open to the public and admission is free. For more information, call 799-8531.

MUSEUM EXHIBIT FEATURES AMERICAN INDIAN BASKETRY

The Clark County Heritage Museum, 1830 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, will host "Beauty in Necessity: American Indian Baskets of the West," an exhibit that displays the art of basketry through May 11.

ST. PATRICK'S DAY PARADE AND FESTIVAL PLANNED

The Southern Nevada Sons of Erin will present the 42nd annual St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival March 13-17 in downtown Henderson.

The parade will be at 10 a.m. March 15. The carnival will be open from 5 to 10 p.m. March 13-14, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. March 15, noon to 10 p.m. March 16, and noon to 8 p.m. March 17. For information, visit www.StPatricks2008.com.
