DONATE GENTLY USED PROM DRESSES FOR GOOD CAUSE

The Jessica McClintock store at the Fashion Show mall is accepting gently used dresses for the Las Vegas Prom Closet, a nonprofit organization based at the Andre Agassi Boys & Girls Club, 800 N. Martin L. King Blvd. The group provides complimentary dresses and accessories for local teens who would otherwise be unable to purchase new clothing for their proms.

The store will be collecting dresses for the Las Vegas Prom Closet at the mall, 3200 Las Vegas Blvd. South, through March 29 and is offering a 15 percent discount on any new dress purchase.

Prom fashions also will be shown from noon to 6 p.m. on the Fashion Show runway in hourly shows from March 28-30. For more information, call the Fashion Show mall at 369-0704 or Las Vegas Prom Closet at 237-0363.

Mexican Orchestra to perform at UNLV

The State Symphony Orchestra of Mexico will perform on Wednesday at 8 p.m. in the Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall at UNLV. The internationally recognized orchestra will perform selections by Johannes Brahms, Joaquin Rodrigo and Robert Schumann.

EMERGENCY CALL SEMINAR TO BE HELD FOR KIDS

Town Square Las Vegas has teamed up with the Metropolitan Police Department and 9-1-1 for Kids Inc. to offer a 9-1-1 emergency preparedness seminar for kids on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at the Children's Park at Town Square, 6605 Las Vegas Blvd. South.

The seminar will be taught by Metropolitan Police Department communications employees and is designed to help educate children ages 4 to 8 about the proper use of 9-1-1 and what to expect when they call the emergency number. Admission is free.

NEUROPATHY SUPPORT GROUP TO MEET

The Neuropathy Support Group will hold its monthly meeting to discuss neuropathy health information and support on Friday at 1 p.m. in the large conference room at the Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road.

The meeting is free and open to the public. For more information, call Kim Heffner at 452-8277.

WEAR YOUR PAJAMAS TO THE LIBRARY

In celebration of St. Patrick's Day, the Enterprise Library will host the Wearing of the Green Pajama Party on Monday from 7 to 8 p.m. Children ages 3 to 8 are encouraged to bring their favorite stuffed animal and listen to stories, sing songs and make crafts. Snacks will be provided.

The event is free and open to the public. The library is located at 25 E. Shelbourne Ave.
