The Starbright Theatre, 2215 Thomas Ryan Blvd., will present "Simply Barbara!," a whimsical musical featuring the comedic talents of Steven Brinberg, at 7 p.m. April 5.

PHILHARMONIC TO PERFORM AN EVENING OF JAZZ
As the last installment of the Stars of the Philharmonic Series, associate conductor Richard McGee will perform an evening of jazz music at 7 p.m. Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Starbright Theater, 2215 Thomas Ryan Blvd.

NEVADA CONSERVATORY THEATRE TO PERFORM 'LYSISTRATA' AT UNLV
UNLV Theater professor Robert Benedetti will premiere his interpretation of Aristophanes' "Lysistrata" at 8 p.m. April 4 in the Black Box Theatre at UNLV, 4505 Maryland Parkway.
The production is set in the fifth century and tells the story of Athenian and Spartan women refusing their husbands sex in order to end the war.
There will be additional performances at 8 p.m. April 5, 9-12, 16-19, and matinees beginning at 2 p.m. April 6, 12, 13 and 20.
Tickets can be purchased at the UNLV Performing Arts Center box office from Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For information, call 895-2787.
