Free Family Film Series returns to Estelle Neal Park

The Arts & Community Events Division of the city of Las Vegas Department of Leisure Services presents its annual four-week film series on Thursdays, beginning at 8 p.m., at Estelle Neal Park, 6075 Rebecca Road, near Tropical Parkway and Serene Drive.
The public is invited to bring picnic dinners, blankets and/or lawn chairs to watch recently released animated family films. The series kicks off on June 5 with "Shrek the Third." On June 12, "Surf's Up" takes a behind-the-scenes look at the Penguin World Surfing Championship. June 19 sees Arthur searching for his grandfather's hidden treasure in "Arthur and the Invisibles."
The series concludes on June 26 with "Bee Movie," the tale of Barry B. Benson, who decides to sue humans for stealing honey.
All films are rated PG. Admission is free. For more information, call 229-1087.
VOLUNTEER JAM COMING TO THE ORLEANS ARENA
The Charlie Daniels Band Volunteer Jam comes to The Orleans Arena at 7:30 p.m. May 31.
The event will feature artists such as .38 Special and Shooter Jennings and Waylon Jennings.
Military discounts are available at Nellis Air Force Base ITT with valid military ID.
