ADELSON EDUCATIONAL CAMPUS: Taught with tradition
Private school offers Jewish-based education to students in valley

Nestled in the heart of Summerlin is a fortress. Inside that fortress lies a 141,000-square-foot building that houses just under 400 students receiving a Jewish-based education, including the only Jewish-based high school in Nevada.

Driving to the Adelson Educational Campus, 9700 W. Hillpointe Road, one might have to look carefully so as not to miss the entrance the first time. A simple guard gate with a nondescript entryway admits people into the campus just inside.

Winter resort warm to idea of summer amenities

The Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort has big plans for another snowy season in Lee Canyon, but even bigger plans for the future.

Resort general manager Brian Strait said mountain temperatures were down into the 20s earlier this month.
