Clark County residents in the northwest once again have proven that they will voice their opinion about any kind of development that they think doesn't fit their community.

At its Sept. 30 meeting, the Lone Mountain Citizens Advisory Council voted to deny a request for a special use permit by Vitaly Scherbo for a major training facility, a gymnastics school, at the corner of Alexander and Juliano roads within the Lone Mountain Master Plan. The council's recommendation will be heard along with the application at the Clark County Planning Commission meeting at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
