MAKING GOVERNMENT WORK FOR YOU
One Citizen's Pet Project

Among the issues the Boulder City Council deals with annually are requests for city property to be used in a variety of ways -- industrial, commercial, residential, recreational and others -- that must be approved before they can be included in the Land Management Plan.

Carolyn Murphy's request last year for city acreage to create a pet cemetery and memorial park near the wastewater treatment plant is one of 25 requests that have been put into the plan since its inception in 2003.

Eagles tennis teams work hard, gain valuable experience
Boulder City players strive to qualify for state tournament

The Boulder City High School boys and girls tennis teams have made marked improvement over last year and appear to be building a solid foundation for the future, head coach Eric Speaker said.

"Both teams have shown a lot of progress this year," Speaker said. "The girls don't have much experience, as we have a number of new faces. However, some of them have improved individually and worked really hard throughout the season."
