City of Las Vegas staff, elected officials and residents agree that communicating and working together -- government with citizens -- is a daunting and difficult but necessary process.

City leaders routinely hold neighborhood and town hall meetings in order to solicit opinions from their constituency, and many openly invite the public to contact them directly. But the most prominent factors in this chain of communication are Planning Commission and City Council meetings, held regularly at Las Vegas City Hall's Council Chambers, 400 Stewart Ave.

TEXTBOOK REVIEW

Textbooks proposed for use in Clark County School District classrooms will be available for public review from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday and Friday in the curriculum library at the school district's Curriculum and Professional Development Center, 3950 Pecos-McLeod. The public review process allows community members to provide written comments about textbooks that are being recommended for adoption.
