Horrors on Avenue I
Family's spooktacular yard display includes a talking genie, scary butler Edmund

Come this Friday, Halloween, parents should take extra caution with their children since there's something very spooky going on over at the corner of Fifth Street and Avenue I.

Kenny and Teresa Pope have turned their rather plain, grass-filled front and side yard at 751 Avenue I into a bewitching habitat for ghosts, goblins and many other things that go bump in the night.

HOSPITAL BOARD PRESIDENT SAYS FACILITY WILL ADAPT

Boulder City voters go to the polls next week to make their sentiments known on two city charter amendment changes and two advisory questions.

One of those ballot questions concerns whether Clark County should ask the state Legislature to create a Boulder City Hospital District with the authority to levy a tax of 15 cents per $100 of assessed value on all Boulder City property to help subsidize the hospital's operations.
