DINNER WILL BENEFIT THE ACHIEVEMENT ACADEMY
There will be a dinner to benefit the Achievement Academy, an institution focused on teaching children with high-functioning autism, from 6 to 10 p.m. on Oct. 25 at the Rio Pavilion, 3700 W. Flamingo Road.

TWO SCHOOLS RECEIVE ACCREDITATION
The College of Southern Nevada received its initial accreditation from the Associate Degree Board of Commissioners of the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs.
The Alexander Dawson School's Early Childhood Education Center, 10845 W. Desert Inn Road, earned accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
SCHOLARSHIP FUNDRAISER TO FEATURE SARA BAREILLES
The Epicurean Charitable Foundation Las Vegas will host its seventh annual scholarship fundraiser gala at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 3 at Mandalay Bay Beach, 3950 Las Vegas Blvd. The event will feature food from Las Vegas restaurants, wine and spirits.
UNLV men's basketball head coach Lon Kruger will be honored by the foundation at the gala, and singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles will perform.
Tickets prices start at $500. Proceeds from the event will go toward the Epicurean Charitable Foundation Las Vegas' scholarship program that supports Las Vegas area students in their pursuit of a career in the hospitality field.

ENTITIES REACH OUT TO KEEP FOOTBALL PLAYERS HYDRATED
Raising Cane's and the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame have partnered to educate high school football players on the importance of proper hydration during training. As such, the hall of fame purchased 1,000 sports bottles, which were delivered to eight high schools, including Silverado, Liberty, Del Sol, Valley, Clark, Bonanza, and Arbor View.
Raising Cane's will provide complimentary drinks to these athletes throughout the football season when they bring their sports bottles to any Las Vegas location.
