SKATEPARK SERIES TO CONTINUE

The 2008 Red Bull Vegas Am Jam Skatepark Competition Series continues with Round 9 for ages 6 and older from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday at the Police Memorial Skatepark, 3250 Metro Academy Way, at Grand Canyon Drive and Gowan Road. NORTHWEST NJB CHAPTER SCHEDULES HOOPS REGISTRATION

The Northwest NJB basketball league will hold registration for the upcoming winter season from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sept. 25 at the Centennial Hills YMCA, 6601 N. JUNIOR TEAM TENNIS LEAGUE BEGINNING PLAY

The Nevada Tennis Association's Junior Team Tennis recreational league is set to begin next week.

FOUNDATION'S SECOND CHARITY GOLF TOURNEY PLANNED

Foundation for Recovery will hold its second annual Charity Golf Tournament at 7:30 a.m. on Sept. 27 at TPC Las Vegas, 9851 Canyon Run Drive.

The event will benefit the foundation's fund for its various initiatives, including programs to remove psychosocial barriers and to ensure any addict needing recovery gets help.

The event will include a silent auction, a banquet luncheon and an awards ceremony. The cost is $300 per person, or $1,200 per foursome. For more information, call 880-8237.

CENTENNIAL YOUTH WRESTLING CLUB SEEKS ATHLETES

SIGNUPS UNDER WAY FOR VIVA BIKE VEGAS

Registration for the Regional Transportation Commission's Viva Bike Vegas is under way.

The event is scheduled for Oct. 25 and will feature 118-, 50- and 25-mile bike rides. All proceeds for the event will benefit the Las Vegas chapter of After-School All-Stars.

Registration runs from $25 to $65. There also will be a five-mile fun ride for families, which will be free.

KILROY'S ADULT ICE HOCKEY REGISTRATION BEGINS

Registration for the 2008-09 Kilroy's Ice Hockey Club adult season is open. The league, for players ages 35 and older, is based in the Sobe Arena at the Fiesta Rancho, 2400 N. Rancho Drive.

Play begins on Sept. 29. Games will be played on Monday nights.
