A small Las Vegas church sent its youth group west in July to compete in a biblical knowledge contest. The teens came home with a first-place trophy.

Saint Michael Antiochian Orthodox Church's, 5719 E. Judson Ave., junior team beat out 55 other parishes on the West Coast in an annual Bible Bowl competition held in Los Angeles. The subject was the First Epistle of St. Paul to the Corinthians.
