City resident uses bounty of her garden to start thriving business

Being green is a growing trend in the United States, and Diane Greene's herb business in Boulder City is one way to do it.

Greene has been a gardener for 30 years and several years ago discovered it can be more than a hobby. She started to dry the herbs and spices from her garden and sell them, both to local businesses and later online. For just $1.50 per half ounce, Greene's customers can stock their kitchens with fresh dried garlic, sage, thyme and much more.

Academy teaches three R's along with religious studies

Located next to the American Legion Auxiliary and Boulder Bowl, Grace Christian Academy is filling a niche in Boulder City. For resident Laura Hanson, it's her only choice.

Hanson has two daughters who attend Grace Christian: Samantha, a sixth-grader, and Hannah, a fourth-grader. Both have attended the school since kindergarten.
