By JAN H

VIEW STAFF WRITER

Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area's Calico Basin is changing color. It's going green -- well, for one event, at least. An Earth Day event is planned there from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The basin is located off West Charleston Boulevard and can be accessed by taking Calico Basin Road. The event is a combined effort of the Bureau of Land Management, Friends of Red Rock and the Red Rock Interpretative Association.
