CLAIRE

I am eager to please, and I glow with joy. I have enormous unconditional love to shine your way in exchange for daily belly rubs and a lifetime commitment to making me a member of your family. My name is Claire, and I am a small bully mix, spayed female, just 1 year old. I am housetrained, and I love to cuddle. Please become my hero.

The Nevada SPCA is a no-kill animal sanctuary located at 4800 W. Dewey Drive in Las Vegas. For more information on animals featured here, visit www.nevadaspca.org, or call 873-7722.

BANDIT

My name is Bandit, and I think I'm a dog! I'm 3 years old, medium-haired, and I am a very sweet and good cat. I love having a male human companion and will follow him around wherever he goes. I get along with other cats and dogs as long as they are not aggressive. I will sit next to you when you watch TV or jump in bed with you. However, I am not a lap cat. I am very gentle and just a real good cat.

The Las Vegas Valley Humane Society rescues and rehabilitates homeless animals. It works to reduce animal overpopulation by offering low-cost spay/neuter clinics for cats and low-cost referrals for dogs. For information, call 434-2009, or visit www.lvvhumane.org.

MADDIE

Maddie came to us in deplorable condition and appears to have lived her life in neglect. She earned her name due to all the mats in her fur. She is jubilant, gracious and playful. She appears good with children, cats and other dogs. Maddie is a bit needy for attention and exhibits some separation anxiety. We are looking for a special, caring soul who will nurture and love her throughout her golden years. Maddie is between 7 and 10 years old.

The Las Vegas Cocker Rescue is a nonprofit organization. Its mission is to protect and save cocker spaniels in the Las Vegas area. For more information, contact Linda at 807-3686, Theresa at 755-8011 or Michelle at 419-6825.
