First Friday returns to its roots with sidewalk art displays

First Friday is going old school.

Gone are the days of barricaded and fenced-in streets where pedestrians could enjoy the local bands and visit tents featuring the work of local artists. In its place is a resurrected version of the event, which many First Friday veterans may recognize.
