The smell of barbecue ribs and chicken lingered above Spring Mountain Road and Polaris Avenue Feb. 14 as a new southern-style restaurant fired up its grills in honor of war vets.

Harry-O's BBQ invited veterans to a free lunch, and a crowd of more than 100 made rounds through the small restaurant at 3355 W. Spring Mountain Road. Buses from the Las Vegas Vet Center pulled into the parking lot each half-hour to deliver more veterans.
