It might not seem cold enough to hold a Polar Plunge in the Las Vegas Valley in November, but with an average temperature of 45 degrees, the water at Lake Las Vegas is pretty close.

"Once it gets that cold, it really doesn't matter," said Maggie Schwarz, regional vice president of Special Olympics Nevada. "It's cold."
