FREED'S BAKERY ANNOUNCES CUPCAKES FOR CANNED GOODS DRIVE
Freed's Bakery is hosting its first cupcake drive, exchanging cupcakes for canned goods through Nov. 24.
Both the bakery's locations at 4780 S. Eastern Ave. and 9555 S. Eastern Ave., Suite 250, will take part. Each customer who brings in at least one or more canned food or non-perishable food item will receive one free cupcake during their visit. Limit one cupcake per customer, per day. No purchase is necessary.

WINE EVENT TO BENEFIT THREE SQUARE
Vineyards of Style will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at The Shoppes at The Palazzo, 3325 Las Vegas Blvd. South, to benefit the Three Square food bank.
The event will feature 28 wines from seven wineries, with all of the net proceeds from ticket sales going to Three Square. There also will be live jazz music, shopping incentives and cuisine from WOO, Table 10 by Emeril Lagasse, Dos Caminos, Morels French Steakhouse and the Grand Lux Café.

Medici Café and Terrace at The Ritz-Carlton at Lake Las Vegas, 1610 Lake Las Vegas Parkway, is offering a four-course Thanksgiving dinner from 4 to 9 p.m. Nov. 26. FREE WORKSHOP TO EXPLORE THE BASICS OF TEA

THE CAPITAL GRILLE CALLS FOR WINE LABEL DESIGNS
The Capital Grille plans to unveil an exclusive vintage of Napa Valley cabernet sauvignon to be featured only in The Capital Grille restaurants. The restaurant is inviting the public to help design an original label for the wine.
If your label is chosen, it will be showcased on each hand-numbered bottle of this limited offering of cabernet this spring. The winner also will receive a full case of the special vintage, along with an all-expenses-paid trip to Napa Valley for insider tours of some of the world's most respected wineries. Entries will be accepted through Nov. 30.

ROY'S WINE CLUB HOSTS TASTINGS
Roy's Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine, 620 E. Flamingo Road, hosts a waina hui (wine club) each month to allow members to sample wines from around the world and share in the flavors of the restaurant's cuisine. Tastings are held once a month from 5 to 6:30 p.m. with a sampling of Roy's signature appetizers. The next one is Friday.
Each tasting is $20 per person for members and $25 for nonmembers. Member benefits include a wine glass, an invitation to all of the club's events, an invitation to Roy's select seasonal events, a 10 percent reduction on bottled wine purchased at the restaurant and reduced pricing for Roy's wine dinners.

Chamber, college join Raising Cane's to help health center
The Henderson Chamber of Commerce and Nevada State College are partnering with Raising Cane's at 7550 Las Vegas Blvd. South to host Donate by Dining to benefit the Dr. Joel & Carol Bower School-Based Health Center from 4 to 8 p.m. Nov. 28. During that time, 20 percent of all purchases made at Raising Cane's will be donated.
The health center is located in the student parking lot of Basic High School, 400 Palo Verde Drive. It provides free primary health care for students attending Basic, Robert L. Taylor and Sewell elementary schools, Brown Junior High School and other neighboring Henderson public schools.
Fundraising flyers must be presented to ensure a portion of the proceeds benefit the center.
