Feline deaths investigated
Incidents result in increased security patrols around Mountain's Edge

Is something sinister happening in Mountain's Edge, or is it nature taking its course? According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, several cats have gone missing or have been found killed in the neighborhood throughout the past year.

The most recent events occurred in late September. Over a two-week period, Ariane Marshall and Cheri Benard found their pet cats, Zoey and Mercedes, killed and mutilated. One animal was discovered at its home. The other, in a neighbor's yard.

Get Your Improv-On class instructs students on the basics of acting

It's a game show without the cameras, a class without textbooks. Rose Heeter challenges drama students in her weekly improv class, Get Your Improv-On. She gives them a building base for skits, then steps back and lets the students take it in any direction they like.

"Each one gets 30 seconds to a minute," Heeter said of the two-hour class. "It's not a lot of time to fail, as I call it."
